YOU DIDN'T LOSE
YOURSELF.
YOU JUST STOPPED
LOOKING.

RECLAIM YOUR IDENTITY IN MIDLIFE.
The slow Fade from the person you know yourself to be gets re-assembled from a hundred reasonable decisions. The career that defined you shifts, or ends. This loss of identity in midlfe impacts your mental and physical health.
G4L is taking it head on.

“I realized I was having the same conversations over and over with midlife friends around our physical and mental health, careers, and relationships. Our stress and fear of facing our own mortality while caring for aging parents. Our generation’s transition into midlife is different. We are all thinking about what’s next. And not just where, but who we are. So I built G4L, the thing I wish I'd had when I was going through it, backed by the science to make it stick.”
— Jay Crain, G4L Founder
SOMETHING NEW. BROUGHT TO YOU BY MIDLIFERS WHO'VE LIVED IT.
G4L is based on Boulder cyclist and entrepreneur Jay Crain's personal experience of recovering from a dire health situation—losing 100 pounds, getting off all meds—by first reconnecting with his identity as an athlete. It considers what it took for him to come back, how to overcome false starts, what is required to keep going, and what to do when you screw it all up and have to start over. Dr. Greg Welk's lifetime of teaching, publishing, research, and delivering public health programs is the science-based foundation of G4L. Jay's lifetime in technology delivers the program in a way that meets the moment.

10,000 COMEBACKS
That's the mission. Ten thousand people who reclaim who they are, extend their healthspan — and send a ripple to impact even more. The Charter Member Cohort is the first: a small founding group going through G4L alongside Jay who is going back through it again for himself
THE FILM BECAME A BOOK. THE BOOK BECAME AN APP. THE APP IS BECOMING A MOVEMENT.
GRINTA! film began as a midlife project for Jay Crain and his wife, Donna. The tale of pro cyclist Eros Poli, who recovered his identity to win a stage of the Tour de France, inspired the name of the G4L program — because grit and determination are at its core. Screenings anchor G4L’s social impact strategy.
